Learn how to master studio and outdoor natural light portraiture, helping you create and sell beautiful family portrait sessions.

This course is an action packed day of shooting and education.   You’ll start the day learning how to best prepare for your shoots, picking up some great business tips on how to price and sell your family sessions. We then move onto teaching studio photography, using a flattering but simple one-light system (which easily fits into the boot of a car).  All equipment and camera settings will be well explained in detail, so you walk away understanding how to achieve the best results.

Our first shoot is with a mum and her baby or toddler, with ample time for you to direct your own photographs and build some gorgeous portfolio shots.

For our second shoot we’ll head outside to photograph a different family in a nearby park or woodland close to the studio.  We’ll teach you how to work with different backgrounds, how to get the most from natural light and how to direct the chaos to achieve amazing results.

This really is a busy day of shooting, learning and family fun.

(NB – To ensure that every student gets plenty of time shooting we limit the class size on this course to just 8, so book early to reserve a place.)

Our inspiring wedding workshop is for those wanting to super charge their wedding photography. Highlights include two wedding shoots at amazing locations, excellent digital editing training and a marketing and business masterclass.

Best described as a total education in modern wedding photography, this course will teach you all the different skills today’s wedding photographer requires.

This 3 day course is a blend of hands-on shooting, classroom theory, editing techniques and business tips to get your photography thriving.  The time spent in the classroom is focussed on theory such as how to approach the wedding day, the best equipment to use, different shooting styles, albums & framing, marketing yourself and what todays clients want.

You will take part in two excellent half-day shoots with several professional bride and groom models at various locations including a church and some stunning reception venues.  The locations are chosen for their striking backdrops that help create amazing images for you to use in your portfolio.  Throughout the day our trainers will be guiding you on all aspects of lighting, posing and composition, and the shoot groups are kept nice and small to ensure you get the most from the day.

Our final day is split between teaching you an excellent digital editing workflow for weddings, and giving you all the business knowhow in marketing and selling your services.

You’ll complete this well-rounded wedding photography course with the knowledge and confidence to build a good career, shooting and editing techniques to help you make your work shine, and the enthusiasm and contacts to make it happen.

This course is typically made up of hobbyist photographers at a real mixture of levels, looking to get into shooting weddings professionally in some capacity.  It would also suit a photographer somewhat experienced in another field, but all topics are started from the ground up assuming no prior knowledge.  We just recommend that you know your own camera well.

We keep our class sizes small and friendly, (maximum of 12 people), and when we head out to our shoots we split into smaller groups of 6 maximum, so no one is left behind and our trainers have plenty of time to answer all your questions and make sure you leave feeling like you’ve had a truly great learning experience.

If you have any further questions please do drop us a line and we look forward to seeing you on this workshop soon!
